This story is about Mo (mohammed) an average electrical construction worker who finds himself in an strange adventure to save the world from a rogue AI, named Autonomous network Operation System (A.N.O.S.).
The story begins with Mo going to work and us seeing a view if the world he lives in, The internet and world communications are such a large part of everyday life, that people rearely hold one on one conversations, and human contact is becoming more rare each year. Everything was going normally, untila massive solar flare hit the earth and half the worlds satellites blew up into smitherins. The world came to a halt, cable television didn't work anymore and people couldn't check their emails. The world became chaotic.
Meanwhile the world is apparently heading for monumental chaos, mo has decided that he will simply ride out the event playing videogames in his apartment (since everything is electrically powered by eco friendly ways people were able to retain their power). Mo's plan was going perfectly, until A.N.O.S. contacted him from his newly acquired video game. Anos explains to Mo that it is a computer program and that it managed to escape into his computer right before the solar flare hit. Anos also explains that it has the solution to the ,mass communication problem, but in order to solve the problem it has to get to outer space to the few sattelites that remain. Anos recruits mo to help it build a robotic body. Mo with his electrical construction knowledge quickly is able to obtain the parts necessary for Anos to begin building itself, and in a matter of a day, Anos Has almost finished building a gigantic robot machine in Mo's yard.
Feeling accomplished about saving the world, Mo heads to the local bar to have a few celebratory drinks. In the bar he finds two girls named Chu La and Pi Ko, they are two agents from the AAIA (Autonomous artificial intelligence agency). Mo tries to pick them up for a threesome, but they are disgusted by him and tell him to back off, until he starts babbling about being a hero and saving the world with the help of this program named Anos. The girls quickly realize that he is speaking about a renegade AI that was intent on world domination, they explain, that right when the solar flare hit, Anos had began its master plan, and the collapse of the sattelite system stopped it and it dissapeared until now. Chula and Piko convince Mo that they are telling the truth and they decide to have mo go back and try to stall Anos, while Chula and Piko go tell their army general boss about the situation.
While on his way home , Mo realizes that he and Anos have become good buddies and he develops doubts as to the validity of the girls' story and decides to speak candidly with Anos about stopping.
When Mo gets home he tries to reason with Anos, but anos's true face comes out and it tries to kill him, he flees to warn the girls, but it has become too late, for anos has finished itself and is now bent on wrecking havok in the city before it gains enough solar charge to fly to the sattelites in space.
Mo takes of in his VW rabbit and gets to the nearby military base where he meets the general and the girls. The general explains that they haven't been able to beat the machine with regular weaponry, and that's when Mo tells them that he has installed a power safe mechanism inside of Anos (which only works with his retinal id scan). The general, girls and mo make a plan to soup up Mo's rabbit with the latest military technology in order for him to get as close as possible to Anos, he then will act as if it was once again trying to convince Anos to stop its plans in the name of friendship. When anos is distracted Mo will get close to Anos and climb inside and disable the powersafe mechanism.
Mo heads off into the chaos that Anos is wrecking all over the city , and scared out of his mind, confronts Anos. After arguing and distracting anos, mo miracusly manages to get inside of it and barely makes in time to disable the machine when it was about to take off into space.
Mo is hailed a s a hero and is greeted by the two scientists girls who have now changed their minds about Mo's proposal at the bar. The three of them head off in to the sunrise.
The three images are of the in terior of Mo's Wv rabbit, the Anos robot leaving Mo's apartment and Anos contacting Mo for the first time through his computer.
Well developed story, and a great way to get the visuals in gear. The narrative has many great features, but could use a stronger hook into why Mo was chosen....this could develop later in in the story as links to his past, and attributes that are not obvious initially yet are made clearer once he start running into other figures, or acting out in specific ways. The boards are reading well, and there is a nice range between establishing shots, detailed scenes, and action. Finish off the placeholder frames right away, and take 2 keys scenes, and work out the compositions and design issues that they have. I could see the animation of the robotic body and a wide shot of the environment that Mo lives in/near, as a way to set the project in motion. MG
