World War III ends human civilization, until they are brought in by the United Republic of Species, which observes all non-advanced species for potential admission into the Republic. Humanity was a special case, usually, species that fail to transition between civilization types are deemed too dangerous, and left to die. But humanity is taken in anyway, because humanity has the ability to grow and advance at an exponential rate. Growth and evolution within humanity occurs many times faster then other species, thus humanity was deemed important, and brought into the republic. 22 years have passed since the end of World War III.
It is now the year 2125, Humans have left behind their planet Earth and found a planet called of Estari. Estari is still a young colony, and is the first created by humans after the Great Discovery. Estari is a very visual example of human society. The super rich live in an area situated above the city called The Tower, which can only can be accessed by those with permission. Those who don't live in the Tower live on ground level, in the heart of the city. The city includes everyone in the middle class, up to those who cannot afford (or are not esteemed enough to live in) the Tower. The lower class and slaves live in the Underground. The city is very multicultural, and is the home to many alien species, but there is an inherent ring of human domination. Estari can best be described as guilded.
The main character int the story is Keith Raven. Keith is an ex-soldier from World War III who’s mental and emotional scars led him to spend 20 years in a psychiatric hospital. Shortly after release, his brother, a high ranking official in the United Republic of Species, commits suicide. After receiving a secret postmortem message from his dead brother, Keith reveals the racism, hate, and corruption reaching to the highest tiers of the Estari government, while fighting the intense psychosis destroying his sanity and perception of reality.
3 Different parts of the world:
The Tower: A place of unrivaled beauty among any human settlements, and even among the settlements of most other species. It is reserved for the top, very important people that cannot be disturbed by normal society. The Tower is known for its lack of security, to keep the illegal secrets of it's inhabitants safe. There is no direct crime on the Tower, because no resident wants to interrupt the delicate balance that holds some of the world's most powerful people together. While there is no direct crime in the Tower, it is an epicenter of some of the universe's most illegal acts. Even though internal security is almost completely nonexistent, external security renders it impossible to enter without proper permission, something very hard, and sometimes impossible to acquire for the general public.
The City: This part of Estari is where most things will occur. The City is where most of the normal people go around and do normal things. Security is strong, but not invasive. Crime exists, but isn't much of a problem, as Estari is a very prosperous colony. The City is the largest of all 3 levels.
The Underground: The Underground is meant for the poor and slave races. The poor pay off debts by working as slaves. The Underground is poor, dirty, full of crime, and encrusted in blood. Slavery is a very profitable business on Estari, but is as brutal as it is prosperous. Torture is used, and most slaves are worked to the point of lethal exhaustion within 3 months. It is commonly known among the poor, that 3 months of slavery's worth of debt is a death sentence.

Fantastic on many fronts...It is a well thought out story containing a sense of narrative with various eras included, and with boards that have enough information and character to portray scenes with their kinetic aspects while giving form to the vision you have. This a great example of working on good narrative points and having that at a level where the visuals can more easily follow the theme. Now you have to dig into the originality and aspects of the concept that will best showcase your characters, sets, and perspective on this dystopia your exploring. Pick 2 key scenes to have painted up for next week. I am encouraging everyone to pick an establishing shot and a more action driven shot to demonstrate a range in the story. MG
