the hypothetical scenario happens a few decades from now. our main character, clem chicken, is a baby boomer around the age of 67. he has been running a salvage plant for 36 years, subcontracted by the department of transportation to recycle the parts of vehicles and retrofit the older models as well as his running plant,to satisfy the new government mandated policy of zero emissions vehicles and factories. technology is abundant and available to everyone. A tragic event occurs after a suitcase terrorist nuclear device explodes, decimating a significant portion of the city and killing over 200,000 people. after the nuclear devastation settles, a wave of panic spreads about causing a ridiculous spur of safety initiatives all around.clem, owning a very isolated and fortified salvage plant, is recognized by the government and paid to fortify to maximum secure standards as a new age bomb shelter, in case of another nuclear attack and volunteer in the efforts for agricultural rebirth and growth, growing plants in his salvage yard as he retrofits the plant for the zero emissions policy- a forefront in vertical farming. this is the story of clem chicken and the new compound.

Okay so those value thumbnails are pretty damn amazing
ReplyDeleteAgreed...really nice value studies. So the baby boomer would likely be older if you pushed 2 decades out, but that's semantics. I really like how your fusing our personal portfolio goals with the constraints the cards dish out. The studies and sketches are all really fun and form/design intensive... what is missing is a sense of a scene, or scenario coming from the boards. They need to describe a move through space and include character(s) and a few interior spaces to convey the broad strokes of your vision. As you continue to add work, the story will beg for, and naturally allow for additional characters to fill the spaces and interact with Clem and his adventure. I would certainly take one of your spaces, and develop it out into a fully detailed painting and an interior that touches on Clem's old factory job, home, place of interaction. MG
