Notes for Week 1

Hey guys, here's my notes for last Friday. Sorry about not getting it in sooner. I got caught up with many other tasks. Anyways, I hope this helps.

*Take a section of your hometown and improve it with sustainable design.
*Document 1-6 city block.
*identify problems, find out how to integrate newest green technology.
*combination of a 5 & 25 year plan.

Assignment:
*Take photographs.
*2 paragraphs on how you're planning to solve the problem. what to do.

*Think about who you can use to revive the city.
*Think in terms of urban planning.
*if possible, generate thumbnails for what the presentation will look like.
*how to preserve the look while updating it. (example, new windows installed in old buildings)
*use of materials / reuse structure, keep carbon footprint clean.
*be sensitive to material usage
*community value, cultural impact
*what makes a successful neighborhood.
*balance of how much effort's owrth
*look into kinetic architecture & climate control.
